According to a report by the University of Kurdistan Public Relations and the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, these appointments were finalized through a direct nationwide vote by faculty members from universities across Iran.

Held virtually between January 4 and 7, 2026 (14-17 Dey 1404), the process saw participation from 15,106 faculty members nationwide.
The Strategic Role of Working Groups in Educational Policy-Making

He added that their recommendations serve as a fundamental resource for decision-making within the Ministry of Science’s Supreme Council for Planning.
